To make water diya at home, you will need the following materials: a small bowl or container, water, cooking oil, a cotton wick, and two electrical wires with a plug.

Fill the bowl or container with water, leaving some space at the top.

Pour cooking oil gently on the surface of the water. The oil will float on top of the water.

Place the cotton wick on the oil surface, ensuring it is saturated with oil.

Connect one end of each electrical wire to the terminals of a plug.

Insert the other ends of the wires into the oil, making sure they do not touch each other.

Plug in the wires to a power source. The electricity will pass through the oil, heating the cotton wick and causing it to burn like a traditional diya.
